Attention !!!!!

The Guides contain many references to Silvertone radios part numbers. Many people ask me why you need those numbers. You can’t order or buy knobs, speakers, or transformers and using those parts number.
Here is a story. For Example.
You are going to buy nice model #4588. This is very cool looking radio and pretty expensive too. The radio is good condition but two knobs missing (or broken). The "Volume" and "Band Switch". The first knob "Volume" part #1013914095 utilized in many Silvertone radios (probably not to hard to find it, but second knob "Band Switch" part #1013914948 (4 bands "Foreign, Foreign, Police and Broadcast") utilized only in a high end models and it is very hard to find it.
Then look at speaker, find part number and compare with Guide. If number matched, you are OK. The speaker is original, but if is not?
Next. Look at a power transformer. If wrong part number or you couldn’t find it at all, the power transformer have been replaced. On the right one?
This kind story could tell you parts number.
